With over 24 years in the radio broadcast industry, Murray Vair brings experience and wisdom to the morning AM dial. Hosting everything from drive time to morning shows on various AM/FM stations across the country, Murray’s a well known radio personality. Murray has lent his talented and diverse voice to thousands of products through voiceovers, animation work and commercials. Murray’s passion for being a ‘part of the story’ is what has brought him to New York to host and anchor the WKIO 510 Morning News.
A character behind the mic, Murray has been twice told by Paul Schaffer of the CBS Late Night Orchestra that he is “a really funny guy”, a sentiment echoed by the staff at WKIO 510AM. Murray is a sunny day in an overcast newsroom and keeps everyone on their toes with his legendary practical jokes. Tune in every day to hear Murray.

Heather Hirsch
As the youngest on-air personality on the am waves, Heather brings a fresh perspective to your rush hour commute. Heather is a graduate of Seattle’s International Academy of Design & Technology and a former intern for WKIO. Though her career in broadcasting is just blossoming, her spunk will take her to the top of the industry.

Don “The Jackyl” Waters
The man. The Myth. The legend with a face fit for radio. The Jackyl has hosted WKIO’s morning show for ten years, one of the longest running morning radio hosts in the country. When he’s not bringing in the early morning laughs, The Jackyl enjoys giving back to the community by spearheading several local and national charities.

Dave Beiber
Don’t let the last name fool you, DB is no baby-face, though he maintains the ladies love him. WKIO’s resident sportscaster DB started his career covering the airwaves for Oklahoma University’s legendary Sooners. DB then moved on to host ESPN’s weekend talk radio show ‘Gridiron Gab’ before finding a home talking sports here in New York.

Shawn Jackson
When the city sleeps and the streets come alive, Shawn Jackson entertains listeners with his weekend late-night show. Hellen Sanders
A veteran in broadcasting, Hellen hosts WKIO’s mid-day newsroom reports. Helen became a household name as the co-host of Fox’s ‘Double Debate’ for prime-time television. Before taking over for WKIO’s daytime coverage, Helen served as a political columnist for The New Yorker and Variety. Missing the dynamics of hands-on reporting, Helen was welcomed to the WKIO team where she’s shined for the past 3 years.
